Since I was sick this weekend, I ended up taking today as an Easy Run instead of a Speed workout.
Wednesday – Cross Training: Golf League/ Easy Run
Thursday – Easy Run
No run today. Ended up having to attend a funeral for a coworker.
Friday – Rest Day
And I rested very much.
Saturday – Long Run
Today was a good run, but a rough one at that. It was over 90 degrees all day with high humidity. I wait until the afternoon (3pm) to start the run because I wanted to try a new trail out in a metro park about an hour away.
I am glad I mixed it up, but the water fountains were NOT turned on during the route. I had to stop at a liquor store on the way out (mile 4) and on the way back (mile 11), to purchase water and Gatorade to fill up my water bottle. However, I didn’t bring a credit card, and my transfer didn’t post to my debit card in time, so I had to submit to qualify for the Apple Pay credit card in order to purchase. (Apparently Apple won’t let you use Google Pay on an Apple devices).
