This week was another “messed up” week. The Taylor Swift concert really left me feeling drained (Well, the Paramore Concert, Seeing the Musical Six, Taylor Swift Concert, and Motor City Pride left me feeling drained). It was a very long weekend for me in Downtown Detroit last week; but now that I am home, I can full recoop.

Sunday – Rest

I was a couch potato all day. Slept in until 10am, napped at 2pm (After running out for PF Changs for lunch), Bed by 8pm.

Monday – Rest

I was suppose to run 5 miles today according to RunCoach; but I still was pretty beat. I also had a long day at work (didn’t get home until 6pm) so I ate dinner and then went to bed at 8pm again.

Tuesday – Rest Day

I didn’t run yesterday, and DnD was cancelled for tonight, so I was DETEREMINED to get my 5 miles in. Unfortunately, the weather did NOT agree with me (and I cancelled my Gym Membership to “save money” this summer – honestly it is just going to my massages now). As soon as I got home I ate, and it was looking better, so I took the dogs on a walk then changed to head out. As soon as I stepped outside, the thunder started. I then sat around waiting for the thunder to meet AT regulations (no thunder within 30mins) until 8pm. At 8 if finally stopped but was still pouring. I was about to head out when my husband was like “I would just skip and try again tomorrow.” So I did.

Wednesday – Cross Training: Golf League

It was a GREAT DAY FOR GOLF! After last nights rain, the weather was beautiful and cool. I ended up shooting my LOWEST SCORE EVER at 53. I really cannot underestimate how great my game looked (until the last two holes when I started getting in my head cause I realized I had a change to break 50).

After golf, I got home and decided I did still have energy (and the weather was great) to get my run in. So I headed out to do 5 miles. Especially since the current weather report is showing that Thursday is suppose to look a lot like Tuesday.

Thursday – Easy Run

The weather was thundering again. It

only after I laid down to go to bed I realized that I technically did still have access to a treadmill – at my climbing gym. Oh well! Good to know for next time.

Friday – Easy Run

Weather was great today. Made sure to get out and run earlier in the afternoon so that I could go to X-Golf at 6pm. Had a Cliff Gel 5 minutes before and 30 minutes into the run.

Saturday – Long Run

I had so much fun running in Detroit last weekend that I drove all the way down to do it again. However, starting a run at 2:30pm when it was 90 out was WAY DIFFERENT than the beautiful 50degree morning I had last time. I was sweaty and over exhausted. It also didn’t help that according to my Garmin I wasn’t fully “rested” yet.

Had fuel 5 mins before, then at 32mins, 105mins, and 140 mins. I drank water ever 5 minutes. Thankfully, there is a Water Bottle Refill Station in the State Park on the Riverside so I was able to refill my new 16oz bottle twice (which allowed me to poor some down my back and head to cool off for the last 3 miles.
