Sunday – Rest Day

I started my day with an Espon Salt Soak in warm water followed by applying Biofreeze on my legs and lower back. Rolled my legs out with my Roll recovery for 5 minutes each. Took it relatively easy today, went to a Tiger’s Baseball Game. Got to see my first Grand Slam ever. Way to go Baddoo.

Monday – Cross Training

For Cross Training, I used my bike as my means of transportation today when I went out to run errands. In total, I biked around 7.5 miles.

Tuesday – Rest Day/ Massage Day

Today is the best day of the month, I have a Massage booked at my favorite Float Spa. Booked for only 90minutes with a 60minute float afterward. However, I noticed this morning that I accidently booked the float 2 hours after the massage ended. I called in hopes to move the float up to the 6pm slot. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate me.

Wednesday – Cross Training: Golf League

Today was the second week of competitive play! This one was a tough one, we were back on the back 9 with those two extremely short Par 3s. Thankfully, on hole 16 I was able to get my second PAR of the season which granted me a Net Zero on the hole with my handicap. Next week, since I shot a 57, my handicap is going to be no longer as forgiving; which will make for an interesting rest of the year.

I am hoping to be shooting low 50s be the end of the season so hopefully I keep up how I was playing. However, my favorite shot of the day was on hole 18, the last hole. I ended up 1 putting from the fringe outside of the rough (~9 feet away) and sinking it. I still scored a double bogey, but I was even happier than I was when I got the PAR.

Thursday – Easy Run

Gosh was today’s easy run hard. It was 97 degrees out. So I waited until 7pm to start my run, hoping it would cool down somewhat by then. While I waited, I began cooking dinner for me to eat afterward – Korean Bulgogi Sauce Ground Turkey with White Rice and Edamame. I did have a little Edamame before the run to tie my hunger over, but I think I ate to much. I felt so bloated and stuffed and by the 5th mile, combined with the heat, I felt like I was going to throw up. I didn’t want to stop and walk though so I slowed my pace way down. Before that though, I was achieving negative splits 🙂

Friday – Easy Run

It is my wedding anniversary today so I didn’t end up running. Instead, we went out to dinner and it was delicious.

Saturday – Long Run

Part two of celebrating my wedding anniversary. No run accomplished. (Sorry Y’all) but after last weeks long race, I am okay with going more into a Recovery Mode now that I am about to start piling on the mileage. It is officially Marathon Training Time! We did do some light activity that I did not record on my Garmin. I swam for about 2 hours in the morning (probably should have recorded it but whatever) and then Bowled for 90minutes in the afternoon.
