What is your all-time favorite romance novel?

I actually don’t read romance novels…so I guess Twilight since it was the last thing I read with a MAJOR romance plot. I am totally open to suggestions though! I do need to diversify my genres.

Is there a certain book that launched your love of reading? Which book?

I cannot remember a set book launching my love of reading. I remember when I was in grade school I won a savings bond from my local library for reading the most books of my age group that year (it was well over 250).

I can say though that “Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance” by Ruth Emmie Lang was the novel that launched my love of book blogging though. It was so great I needed a way to share it with people.

Have you ever read a book that has actually scared you?

OMG yes. I was actually scared by Final Girls by Riley Sager.

What if your favorite book-to-movie adaptation?

I absolutely loved Gone Girl but I would say the winner is HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

What is the most romantic thing that has ever happened to you?

This actually happened on this last Christmas Eve. My partner and I Ubered down to the D in a middle of a nasty snowstorm for a tasting course dinner to celebrate, he is Jewish and I am basically Eleanor Oliphant when it comes to the commercialized holiday. We agree to split the bill and have that date night be our gift to each other. Right before the dessert came out, our waiter brought a gift over to the table to me. I had no idea what was going on. At first, I thought it had the dessert inside and everyone at the restaurant got one. Only, I recognized the wrapping paper as the same design my partner’s roommate wrapped all his gifts with. It turned out G, my partner, had been emailing the restaurant about leaving my gift with them. He was going to give it to them the day before, but because of the weather, the gift arrived late in the mail. He ended drove all the way down to the restaurant (in the storm) before I got there and frantically knocked hoping someone was there to take the gift. It ended up being an 8×10 photo of us from our trip to Europe he really liked.

Have you ever had a meetcute? What happened?

I had to Google what a meetcute was for this one… and maybe? I didn’t really run into anyone, but there was a guy I used to date who after I met him, I actually saw him everywhere the next 2 days. In the dining hall, waiting outside my class, walking to the bus stop, in the undergrad library. Maybe he was stalking me to try to have a meetcute? He was super big into RomComs so I wouldn’t put it past him.

What is one of the best blogging tips you’ve ever heard or given?

You don’t write for your followers, you write for yourself.
