Why I’m excited for it: Emily Wilde was the slowest burn slow burns but after the second novel, I NEED to see more of Emily and Wendell’s relationship. I didn’t realize it was coming out so soon or else I would have requested it on NetGalley (I did last minute submit a request in but so close to the publish date I doubt I’ll be approved.) I have to give Fawcett props that she is one Fantasy Author that does not keep us waiting for years (*cough* George RR Martin *cough*).

The third installment in the heartwarming and enchanting Emily Wilde series, about a curmudgeonly scholar of folklore and the fae prince she loves.

3. Needy Little Things – Channelle Desamours

Why I’m excited for it: A magical realism mystery is right up my alley. This is Desamours debut novel. I have zero expectations, and that often makes for the best novels.

Why I’m excited for it: I’m going through some things at the moment. Being 30, post-COVID, has been one existential crisis after the next. Life feels like it is slowly closing in on me and I can’t breathe. THUS, the last line in the synopsis “Is it ever too late to become the person we wanted to be—and is there still time to change into someone better?” as drawn me directly in.

The Last Thing He Told Me meets Fleishman Is in Trouble in this page-turning story of a couple who flee winter in the Midwest for Palm Springs, where they find their relationship at a crossroads.
