Why I’m excited for it: Michaelides last novel was a bit of a let down for me (The Maidens) compared to The Silent Patient, due to the protagonist being the definition of a “women written by a man.” However, Michaelides loves Greece, and I am interested to see how this novel will play out through Elliott’s eyes.

3. Argylle – Elly Conway

Why I’m excited for it: Before the novel even came out, the movie rights were auctioned off and filming commenced. Argylle has multiple allegations of who the author behind the pen name is – from Taylor Swift to the more realistic J.K Rowling. Given that the later the more likely case, I will probably wait until I can rent the novel from my library.

Why I’m excited for it: Holiday Country was pitched as a great read for fans of “Our Italian Summer” (Which I loved). I am excited to read another Mother/Daughter story but this time set on the Turkish Coast. Plus, it is published by Flatiron Books which can do no wrong.
